Worship: Children

Children's Worship

“And he took the children in his arms, placed his hands on them and blessed them.” Mark 10:16

Children are a wonderful and valued part of our community worship.

During this time we worship “together in spirit” from our homes. Every Sunday at 10:00am families are encouraged to join in watching our live stream of worship, found on our Parish of the Epiphany YouTube channel. Special Children's Bulletins, which correspond to the Scriptures read in that day's service, are found in each week’s Family Newsletter, emailed on Friday mornings and found here. They are full of coloring pages, mazes, dot-to-dots, and other fun ways to engage in the day's readings and message.

Special messages and lessons created specifically for children by our community of clergy, staff and parishioners are also found on our YouTube channel in our Children's Playlist.

You are invited to take part in our Children's Faith Formation Program, which includes live Zoom Sunday School classes, a special classroom web page full of lessons and videos, and off-screen materials delivered to your doorstep. Please read more here.

We look forward to a time when we are together in our church building again. Children are always welcome in all services of worship, when we offer concurrent formation classes, nursery care, and preschool worship experiences. Children always participate in the Passing of the Peace and Eucharist with their families. Many of our upper elementary, middle, and high schoolers take an active part in Sunday worship as acolytes, lay readers, and members of our choirs.

Highlights of our Liturgical Year are our Family Maundy Thursday Supper and Worship, Children’s Good Friday service, Christmas Pageant, and Christmas Eve Family Worship service.
