Sanctuary Volunteer Training Dates
First Parish Church in Bedford, Room 202

Tuesday, 29 October from 1:00-3:00pm; Wednesday, 30 October from 7:00 -9:00pm

People interested in being trained to assist in this important mission can contact Judy Cotton at 617.823.8004, or Nelia Newell . In order to participate in Sanctuary at First Parish Church, people must participate in a two hour training session, and undergo at CORI (criminal background) check.


Prayer Vigil on Sunday, 29 September from 2:00 - 3:00 pm

ICE Detention Center, 20 Bradston St, Boston

This month's vigil, sponsored by MCAN (Mass Communities,) is led by Epiphany with other faith and civic groups in Winchester participating. As of today, we know that UU Winchester, First Congregational Church, Shir Tikvah and Winchester MultiCultural Network will be joining us. A 47 seat bus has been rented and will be outside Hadley Hall at 1:00 pm, and will leave for Boston no later than 1:15 pm. We should be back in Winchester by 4:00pm.

If you plan to ride on the bus, please let Roz Nazzaro know. If the bus fills up, we can also carpool. Suggested donation for bus - $10 per person/family.
