Please plan to join us on Sunday, 8 March at 5:00pm for a Lenten service of Choral Evensong. The choir will sing Herbert Sumsion's Evening Service in G, and the anthem will be Thou Art the Way by Christopher Steel (1939-1992). Steel was an English composer and teacher that composed beautiful anthems for amateur and professional choruses alike. This piece illustrates his gift for writing beautiful melodies that are made even more memorable by interesting harmonies.
With scripture, prayer, music and candlelight, Evensong is the perfect way to end a Sunday during Lent.
