“...he is able for all time to save those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them."
Above all, the Parish of the Epiphany is a community of prayer. Prayer is the undergirding of all that we do throughout the various ministries found on this website.
Healing Prayer MinistryThe sacrament of laying on of hands is offered at all 10:00 am Sunday services and at the 9:30 am Tuesday Eucharist. On Tuesdays, we form a circle and all are invited to participate in the laying on of hands. Occasionally special healing services are offered as well. If you are interested in learning more or would like to join our chain of members in prayer, please contact our office.
Intercessory Prayer Ministry
Not only is prayer a vital part of our liturgy, we believe in intercessory prayer. We maintain an active prayer list that is used to bring requests and thanksgivings to God. We pray regularly for all who have asked for our prayers.
A small group prays every Tuesday evening, and several of our members use the parish’s prayer list to pray privately in their homes throughout the week. We also list people’s names and how they are connected to our parish community in our Sunday worship bulletin, and unless you tell us otherwise, we include each name in our Prayers of the People for one Sunday and in the bulletin for two Sundays thereafter.
