Dear friends,
This year's Lenten family devotional is simple--a calendar with a one-word prayer for each day. In this second "pandemic Lent" we are all stretched thin, and I understand that adding anything to the hectic rhythms of life right now is hard, if not impossible. We invite you to make room for one word each day. Share it, define it, pray it, talk about it, give it color, or maybe simply look at it. Our first three words have been Hope, Peace, and Strength. What might these words mean in your family, your heart, and your walk with God this Lent? It is also a coloring calendar. I've appreciated coloring as an aid to prayer and meditation since my university days. I hope the simple act of coloring a small square each day, as you build a mosaic of color, fills you with peace and hope as we walk through Lent and toward Spring.
Peace and Love,
Bryn

Lent Has Begun: Join with Us in these Many Ways
Lenten Children's Story Time: YouTube
Now on YouTube, Bryn reads the Lenten storybook Make Room: A Child's Guide to Lent and Easter, which explores both Jesus's journey of ministry and how churches now observe the season of Lent. Watch it anytime during Lent.
Family Lenten Prayer Calendars
If you would like additional copies, please let Bryn know, or print your own here. Would you share your evolving art with our community? If so, please send a photo of your family's in-progress calendar to Bryn.

Ash Wednesday Worship Service: YouTube
This year's Ash Wednesday Service remains available on the church YouTube channel. If you didn't have a chance yet to watch and participate, we hope you find a time. We thank our Altar Guild for their great work in providing take-home communion and ashes for us all as we entered Lent. Thank you Myers-Davidson Family for sharing these wonderful photos of your at-home communion and imposition of ashes.

Lenten Formation Program on the Psalms Starts Sunday! Youth, Parents Please Join Us
This year during Lent please join us via Zoom on Sundays at 11:15am as we study the Psalms. Our own Gabrielle Stott will lead us.
This year's Lenten Home groups will also meet via Zoom. These small groups meet weekly during Lent, and they are a wonderful time both to dive deeper into Sunday's material and to make new friends in the Parish. Please sign up for a small group. Parents and youth, we would love for you to join us. (If sign-ups are full, please email Bryn about your interest.) Children are always welcome at our gatherings, as well -- we LOVE seeing them!
Here is a collection of Psalms coloring sheets, good for young and not-so-young. These offer a creative, calming way to meditate on scripture. Print whichever you'd like.
