Dear friends,

Today is Sarah Twiss's last day as our Parish Administrator. If you've never been in the church building during weekdays, you may not know Sarah well, but she knows you. Each and every one of you. She knows when babies are born and baptized. She knows when families move. She knows every name on the prayer list. Every email list, every paper mailing, every bulletin, everything that runs smoothly--these all have Sarah's fingerprints.

My favorite memory with Sarah is one we repeated many times. As we worked together in the church building while my children were in school, I would hear her voice call "It's 2:15! You gotta go!" Not only did she keep our church running with a hitch, she kept me and my family on track, too. I will miss her incredibly.

Thank you Sarah. We love you.

Peace and Love,

Bryn

Faith-at-Home this Week

For the next three Sundays, we'll be welcoming special guests to our Sunday School time, as members of our Mission and Outreach committee join us to share all about the important mission work our church engages in. We'll study Bible stories about the ways in which God's people served God and neighbor, and we'll think about how we, too, are called to put love into action. Please join us!

Zoom 9:30am Sunday

Don't forget about your Faith-at-Home envelope for this week--we'll be making a familiar-looking hungry friend to remind us that we can help feed those in need all around us.

Family Resources for the Season of Lent in Pandemic Times

As we walk through another Lent together-yet-apart, we hope you find ways to see God and feel the Lord's peace. Here are ways to support you as you continue the incredibly hard job of parenting in faith through a pandemic.

A Lovely Animation of Wendell Berry's The Peace of Wild Things.

Although not a Christian work, this is one I've meditated on these last months. Its imagery of God's creation, still waters, and grace draws my mind to the Lord. I encourage parents--stressed, afraid, exhausted by turns--to rest in its words.

Pandemic Parenting One Year In with Dr. Kramer

Local child/adolescent psychologist Dr. Kramer, whose webinars I highlighted often last spring, is offering "Pandemic Parenting One Year In" on March 11 at 7:30pm. Dr. Kramer's insights into both what children need and what parents are going through, as well as her practical suggestions, have been greatly appreciated by many in our congregation. Zoom link

Lent Prayer and Coloring Calendar

It's never too late to start a daily Lenten spiritual practice. Join us as we meditate on one simple word each day.

Lenten Children's Story Time: YouTube

Now on YouTube, Bryn reads the Lenten storybook Make Room: A Child's Guide to Lent and Easter, which explores both Jesus's journey of ministry and how churches now observe the season of Lent. Watch it anytime during Lent.

Youth Please Join Us Wednesday Evening

All in grades 6-12 are encouraged to join our youth check-in time on Wednesday, March 3, from 8 to 8:45pm. During Lent we'll continue to offer a time to be with friends and unwind, as well as short Bible studies.
