Sunday School Zooms resume on January 24. At-Home children's lessons for January 10 and 17 will arrive by mail.

Hello friends, and Happy New Year!

I confess I have never been one for New Year’s Resolutions, but this year I did make a goal:

Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice. (Philippians 4:4)

My temperament tends toward joy (not only is my glass half full but how great to even have a glass, right?). But the past year has been challenging, for us all. It’s made me realize that despite my cheery wiring, I have not mastered this biblical exhortation--not by a long shot. It isn’t about good humor or a positive outlook. Neither is it a directive to bury grief or ignore hardship.

I think to rejoice in the Lord always is to walk in the constant knowledge that God the creator and redeemer knows us, loves us, and resides in and around us all the time. The Lord saves. This year I hope to rejoice--always--in that truth, even in grief or darkness. This conscious effort will be my spiritual practice.

I would love to hear your spiritual hopes, and I wish you deep joy in the Lord in the coming months.

Peace and Love,

Bryn

Sunday School Zooms Resume 24 January at 9:30am

We look forward to seeing all the children again beginning on Sunday 24 January. During Winter term we will learn about Loving Our Neighbors, near and far.

Youth, Let's Check-In on Wednesday, 13 January at 8pm!

We've missed you, youth! Let's do a Zoom Check-In this Wednesday, 13 January. We will meet from 8:00 to 8:45pm. It's a new year, and along with catching up we'll talk about our 2021 hopes--practical and spiritual.

Welcoming the Myers Family

Reverend Nick and his family are getting settled in Winchester, and Bennett (6) and Lennox (4) are starting at their new schools. We invite your children (or you!) to send them a postcard welcoming them to town: 29 Lakeview Road, Winchester, MA 01890.

Anything your children want to say about themselves, Winchester, Epiphany, school, pets, or anything else would be wonderful!

As a reminder, Reverend Nick's first official day at Parish of the Epiphany is January 15.
