Three Things to Note

Final Church School Class of the Year is This Sunday: We wrap up our program year this Sunday, with our last Godly Play and Story Makers class. We begin again in September. BUT: during the month of June we will do some shorter children's times in the Chapel during the sermon portion of 10am worship.

We Are Looking for an Additional Nursery Care Worker: If you know of a nanny, teacher, or great babysitter (adult-aged) who is looking for Sunday morning childcare work in a supportive and loving environment, please encourage them to contact Bryn. We are looking to hire an additional person to help many Sunday mornings from 9:30-11:30am.

We Wish Godspeed to Kathryn on Her New Adventure:

We said a fond farewell and Godspeed to Kathryn, our Parish Administrator, at Midweek. Kathryn and her husband Noel are moving to Colorado for Noel's work. Thank you for everything Kathryn! We will miss you!

Faith Forum: Exploring New Life Together

Every Sunday through May 28, we are excited to welcome back Dr. Brian Litzenberger to our Faith Forum in Hadley Hall from 11:30am-12:30pm. During the season of Eastertide, we will explore the seeds of possibility and wholeness as we discern God’s voice in our own lives and life together. Reflecting upon the post-Resurrection stories in the New Testament, Dr. Brian and Rev. Nick will invite us to explore, through dialogue and teaching, where God is calling us as a community. If your children would like to stay with you, they are welcome to grab some coloring, weaving, or a puzzle from the Suter Room (Church School shelves).

Celebration Potluck: June 4

We will have a celebratory potluck lunch at 11:30 am on Sunday, June 4 as we close our program-year together. A simple main dish will be provided. We ask that you bring a side or dessert to share. Simply drop it off in Hadley Hall before the 10:00 am service. We invite those with last names A-M: side dish; N-Z: dessert.

Choral Evensong & Investiture of Choristers

Join the Parish Choir, Choristers and guests for Choral Evensong and the Investiture of Choristers at Epiphany on Sunday, June 4 at 5:00 pm. This festive service on Trinity Sunday will conclude the 2022-23 choral season. Music for choir and soloists will include ‘The Second Service’ by William Byrd, ‘O Lord, Support Us’ by David Briggs, and ‘I saw the Lord’ by John Stainer. Watch future 3 Crowns announcements for a bit more detail on the music for this festive end-of-season service.

Yoga with Elizabeth: Continues May 23

On Tuesdays, May 16 through June 6 from 5:30 – 6:25 pm, join parishioner Elizabeth Berner for a free yoga class in the Upper Parish Hall. Please bring a water, yoga mat, and any other props that will support you during your practice. Wear comfortable clothing. To register, please email Elizabeth Berner or call 617-650-2536.

Parish Weekend Away: Registration is Open

Registration for our Parish Weekend Away is still open!

We have plenty of overnight space available in our "camper" category of accommodations. This means you will be placed in cabins which have bunk beds, electricity, heat, and bathrooms. Camper cabins are a little less cushy than lodge rooms (mainly in terms of the bunk beds) but are still a comfortable and only mildly-campy option. Camper cabins, because of their size, will have at least five people per cabin. Our retreat team will thoughtfully match up families or individuals to share these cabins. (Or, if you've got a large family, you might get your own!)

If you can't come for the full weekend, please come for the day on Saturday.

For more information please visit 3crowns.org. Please register HERE.

Church School Continues this Sunday

During the final month of classes, the Godly Play Class (preK-1st grade) will be learning about the life of Jesus, his parables, and Pentecost. The Story Makers Class (2nd-5th grade) will be introduced to the curriculum of Godly Play (bigger kid style) and learn about the history and organization of the Bible, an overview of the Old Testament, under-recognized (but fascinating!) Biblical personalities, and parables.

Spring Church School classes will be held:  May 21. Classes are held at 10am, during the first half of the 10am worship service, in the Upper Parish Hall (younger kids) and Church Library (older kids). Visitors and newcomers are always welcome! Reach out to Bryn with any questions.

Our church school program year ends on Pentecost, which is May 28.

Parenting Project Grant Update: 4th Soil is Coming to Epiphany

Bryn Hollenbeck, Heather Keith-Lucas, and Pam Chester had the privilege of attending the kick-off and training for the 4th Soil Parenting Project, in Denver, CO. The Parish of the Epiphany was selected to participate in this four-year project as part of a grant with Vibrant Faith, funded through the Lilly Endowment. It was an amazing (and exhausting) three days of spiritual development, worship, learning and planning.

Parents, in the coming months (and years!) our steering team (which also includes Karen Fagan, Perry Haynsworth, and Ellen Wilson) will bring new programs to our community to support you in your parenting journey--whether you now have infants or teenagers--and in sharing your faith with your children in ways that will help build them up for a lifetime. We will begin with some listening projects this summer, and some new learning and community opportunities this fall.

Childcare for Infants & Toddlers During 10am Worship for Ages 0-3

Our nursery is open! Parents and guardians may drop off their young children -- ages 0-3 years -- in the Dewart Room during the 10am service. Our paid and experienced nursery caregivers will be ready to receive babies and toddlers beginning at 9:45am. Parents and guardians must pick up their children by 11:15am, and must remain in the building at all times.

Children need to be registered in our system (one-time registration) in order to be dropped off. This gives us important information about allergies, needs, and who may pick up your child. Please register here:

Church School Registration

Church School registration is always open! This gives us important information like allergies and opting into/out of photo permissions. We re-register each year to keep our information current. Thank you!
