Pentecost is Here!
Pentecost is the day we celebrate the Holy Spirit. More specifically, it's the day we remember when the Holy Spirit came upon Jesus's disciples after Jesus had returned to Heaven. Pentecost is 50 days after Easter (how time flies!) and is this Sunday, May 28. When the Holy Spirit came upon the disciples, the Book of Acts (in the New Testament of the Bible) describes it like the "rush of a mighty wind" and "tongues as of fire." In other places in the Bible, the Holy Spirit is described as "like a dove." In our cerebration of Pentecost, we bring these images into our church. It's a day when many chose to wear red, orange, or yellow -- the colors of flame. We have ribbons and doves adorning our worship space. The children like to wave paper doves or pinwheels, which make that "mighty wind" visible. We hope you can come and enjoy this festival worship with us this Sunday.

Two Things to Note
Church School is over for the school year, but Children's Chapel begins June 4: During the month of June we will do some short children's times in the Chapel during the sermon portion of 10am worship. Come to worship in the sanctuary as a family, and your child can follow Bryn and the Children's Cross out for short children's lesson just next door in the Chapel during the Sermon. We'll be back at the Passing of the Peace.
The Celebration Potluck is June 4: We will have a celebratory potluck lunch at 11:30 am on Sunday, June 4 as we close our program-year together. A simple main dish will be provided. We ask that you bring a side or dessert to share. Simply drop it off in Hadley Hall before the 10:00 am service. We invite those with last names A-M: side dish; N-Z: dessert.

Faith Forum: Exploring New Life Together
|
|
Every Sunday through May 28, we are excited to welcome back Dr. Brian Litzenberger to our Faith Forum in Hadley Hall from 11:30am-12:30pm. We have been exploring the seeds of possibility and wholeness as we discern God’s voice in our own lives and life together. Reflecting upon the post-Resurrection stories in the New Testament, Dr. Brian and Rev. Nick will invite us to explore, through dialogue and teaching, where God is calling us as a community. If your children would like to stay with you, they are welcome to grab some coloring, weaving, or a puzzle from the Suter Room (Church School shelves).

Parish Weekend Away: Two Cabins Left!
Registration for our Parish Weekend Away is open and we have two camper cabins left for those who wish to stay overnight.
This means you will be placed in cabins which have bunk beds, electricity, heat, and bathrooms -- so, only mildly-campish. Camper cabins, because of their size, will have at least five people per cabin. Our retreat team will thoughtfully match up families or individuals to share these cabins. (Or, if you've got a large family, you might get your own!)
If you can't come for the full weekend, please come for the day on Saturday. You must register for this option, with the link below.
For more information please visit 3crowns.org. Please register HERE.

Childcare for Infants & Toddlers During 10am Worship for Ages 0-3
Our nursery is open! Parents and guardians may drop off their young children -- ages 0-3 years -- in the Dewart Room during the 10am service. Our paid and experienced nursery caregivers will be ready to receive babies and toddlers beginning at 9:45am. Parents and guardians must pick up their children by 11:15am, and must remain in the building at all times. Children need to be registered in our system (one-time registration) in order to be dropped off. This gives us important information about allergies, needs, and who may pick up your child. Please register here:

We Are Looking for an Additional Nursery Care Worker: If you know of a nanny, teacher, or great babysitter (adult-aged) who is looking for Sunday morning childcare work in a supportive and loving environment, please encourage them to contact Bryn. We are looking to hire an additional person to help many Sunday mornings from 9:30-11:30am.
