Dear families, This Sunday is the last day of our annual Thanksgiving Food Drive. My children have always loved shopping for food for this. One loves doing the math to maximize his allowance, the other loves putting together a menu, and they both love helping neighbors who are suffering from food insecurity. This is a great, tangible way to teach our children about needs around them, and to let them serve others. Please contribute if you are able -- a list of needed foods is below. In the coming week, we hope you'll join us for Church School (this Sunday), Midweek (Wednesday) and the Christmas Fair (Saturday 11/19). Peace, Bryn

Needed: 4 or 5 Good Shoe Boxes
Church School needs 4 or 5 good sturdy shoe boxes, for a service project we'll be doing next (11/20) Sunday. These need to be in good condition, sized for adult shoes (but not boots). The lid can hinge or come off (box and lid needed). If you have any sturdy shoe boxes, can you bring them to church with you this Sunday or to Midweek on Wednesday? You can leave them in the Church Office, or the Suter Room if the office is closed. Thank you!

Midweek: This Wednesday, November 16
Midweek, our intergenerational Wednesday evening dinner and formation program, is happening this week on November 16. Please join us at 6:15pm for a delicious homemade dinner. At 7:00pm we have a Bible study with Rector Nick for adults, a youth time with Janelle for middle and high schoolers, and an art- and music program for children with Bryn and Jeremy. Visitors welcome!

Epiphany's Annual Thanksgiving Food Drive
Our Annual Thanksgiving Food Drive ends this week! Our Epiphany congregation will continue our tradition of contributing to the Council of Social Concern food drive for Thanksgiving dinners for families. Last year we had a tremendous outpouring. May we count on you to assist again?
A list of suggested food items is available below. Local supermarket gift cards are needed too. (Please put gift cards with amount noted on card into envelopes.) Bring donations to the narthex (church lobby) on Sunday, November 13. Gift cards can also be placed in the office or in the secure drop box left of office door.
The Council of Social Concern’s mission is serving individuals and families who are in need through their food pantry, early education and child care programs.
Questions? Please ask Ellen W. Rockefeller, Coordinator and member of Mission and Outreach Committee

Children's Christmas Pageant: December 24 at 4pm
Our children's Christmas pageant this year will be held during the 4pm Christmas Eve Service. This year we'll have more, shorter speaking parts, and--yes friends!--the magi (aka wise men or three kings). Sign-ups will begin on Sunday, November 20. Please talk with your child about whether they would like to memorize a line, read, act (with no lines), or be part of a flock (of sheep, shepherds, or angels). Rehearsals will be: Sunday, December 4 at 11:15am (speaking part only) Sunday, December 11 at 11:15am (all participants) Sunday, December 18 at 11:15am (all participants--dress rehearsal!) Saturday, December 24: 3pm call time

Church School: Parent Helpers Needed
|
We ask each family with children in Church School to have a grown up (parent, grandparent, aunt/uncle) volunteer with us at least one Sunday per trimester to help support our classes. Please choose your Sunday HERE. Thank you!
This is a great opportunity to be with your child and see what they are learning, and it helps our amazing Children's Ministry volunteer team to keep our classes supported and running smoothly.

Church School Registration
|
If you haven't registered your children for Church School, please take a quick minute to do so. This gives us important information like allergies and opting into (or out of) photo permissions. We re-register each year to keep our information current. Thank you!

Choristers: This Wednesday Evening
The Chorister choir program at Epiphany is for children entering grades 2-8. Our weekly rehearsals are on Wednesdays from 5:15-6:15pm (a snack and optional skills session will also be offered from 6:15-7:00pm on many Wednesdays). Children will receive professional music theory and vocal training, and will sing in church monthly (on First Sundays).
This program isn’t just for Epiphany parishioners—children are welcome and encouraged to bring friends along to try out the program. It is perfectly acceptable to try out the program for a few weeks without committing to the entire season. Please reach out to Jeremy Bruns, Director of Music & Organist at jbruns@3crowns.org with any questions.
