Dear friends,

We've had a wonderful week here at Epiphany. This past Sunday we enjoyed our second in-person Church School in the Bishop Garden where we learned about God's call to Abraham and Sarah, and how they responded in faith. Digging into this Old Testament story is giving us all a chance to ask ourselves How do we listen for God's voice? and What might God be asking of us?

At Midweek on Wednesday, we meditated on Philippians 2:15-16:

Try to shine as lights among the people of this world, as you hold firmly to the message that gives life

and we created beautiful mod podge lanterns of our own.

I hope this three-day weekend brings you some down time and rest. There is no In-Person Church School this coming Sunday and to keep us all on a similar schedule, Faith-at-Home families won't receive their next email or memory card until next week. May you enjoy the beautiful early fall weather and each other.

Peace,

Bryn

Paper Towel and Toilet Paper Cardboard Tubes Needed

The Church School needs a lot of cardboard tubes -- like the kind at the end of a roll of paper towels or toilet paper. Could you please save yours and drop them off at the church office or whenever you see Bryn? This is a great way to recycle and will help us keep our craft-cost down! We need at least a few dozen by Oct 20 so we don't have to buy any. Thank you!

Outdoor Worship for All Ages Continues this Fall

Please mark your calendar for these short, half-hour services of worship in the Cloister Garden. ALL ages and all households are invited for this child-friendly, simple but meaningful time of singing, eucharist, creative prayer, and a homily. And, of course, popsicles.

Our Outdoor Worship schedule this fall is:

October 24

November 14

November 28
