Dear families,

Look at the lovely pumpkins the children decorated for Cider Fest last Sunday--such magnificent creativity (without knives)! The sign above the pumpkins is asking people to share why they pledge to Epiphany, and I just have to share a couple close-ups of the children's Why's.

I'm unsure whether both children are trying to express their thanks for the nourishment and treats they receive here, of if one child loves the snacks and the other in fact wants snakes. A beautiful thing about children is, you just can't be totally sure.

But this "why" takes my heart:

I can't say a lot more than that, and I definitely can't say it better. (Hearts JB, thanks for sharing!)

In gratitude,

Bryn

Epiphany Tunnels/Clock Tower Spooky
Ice Cream Party

It has been a rite of passage over generations for youth to explore the tunnels and clock tower at Epiphany. Join us on Sunday, October 23 from 6:30 - 8:30 pm for some fun and ice cream! Please RSVP to Janelle.

Epiphany's Annual Thanksgiving Food Drive

Our Annual Thanksgiving Food Drive starts now! Our Epiphany congregation will continue our tradition of contributing to the Council of Social Concern food drive for Thanksgiving dinners for families. Last year we had a tremendous outpouring. May we count on you to assist again?

A list of suggested food items is available below. Local supermarket gift cards are needed too. (Please put gift cards with amount noted on card into envelopes.) Bring donations to the narthex (church lobby) on October 23, October 30, November 6, or the final Sunday, November 13.
Gift cards can also be placed in the office or in the secure drop box left of office door.

The Council of Social Concern’s mission is serving individuals and families who are in need through their food pantry, early education and child care programs.

Questions? Please ask Ellen W. Rockefeller, Coordinator and member of Mission and Outreach Committee

Newcomer Coffee Hour on October 30

Are you interested in learning more about Parish of the Epiphany? We invite you to our Newcomer Coffee Hour on Sunday, October 30 at 11:15 am, immediately following the 10:00 am worship service. Join us in Upper Parish Hall to find out more about who we are as a parish and how to get connected!

Baptism Opportunity on November 6

Our next opportunity for baptism will be Sunday, November 6. If you are interested in being baptized or having your child baptized at Epiphany, please contact Rev. Nick

Church School: Parent Helpers Needed

We ask each family with children in Church School to have a grown up (parent, grandparent, aunt/uncle) volunteer with us at least one Sunday per trimester to help support our classes.

Please choose your Sunday HERE. Thank you!

This is a great opportunity to be with your child and see what they are learning, and it helps our amazing Children's Ministry volunteer team to keep our classes supported and running smoothly.

Church School Registration

If you haven't registered your children for Church School, please take a quick minute to do so. This gives us important information like allergies and opting into (or out of) photo permissions. We re-register each year to keep our information current. Thank you!

Upcoming Youth Events

Please mark your calendars for the following upcoming youth activities!

Choristers: This Wednesday Evening

The Chorister choir program at Epiphany is for children entering grades 2-8. Our weekly rehearsals are on Wednesdays from 5:15-6:15pm (a snack and optional skills session will also be offered from 6:15-7:00pm on many Wednesdays). Children will receive professional music theory and vocal training, and will sing in church monthly (on First Sundays).

This program isn’t just for Epiphany parishioners—children are welcome and encouraged to bring friends along to try out the program. It is perfectly acceptable to try out the program for a few weeks without committing to the entire season. Please reach out to Jeremy Bruns, Director of Music & Organist at jbruns@3crowns.org with any questions.
