Summer Children's Message

This summer our community will be offering special children's messages via YouTube. We'll have friends sharing music, stories, experiments, and more! Some faces will be very familiar from chapel or Sunday School, and some will be new friends. We hope you enjoy getting to know our community in new ways.

Join Ellen Wilson via YouTube for this week's summer children's message. Ellen takes us on a journey into the past and puts her unique touches on a favorite hymn. Big thanks to Ellen and to Shukong Ou for his wonderful camera and editing work.

Growing In the Fruit of the Spirit: This Summer at Parish of the Epiphany!

Our children’s ministry summer theme is Growing in the Fruit of the Spirit. As we remembered on Pentecost, the Holy Spirit lives in each of us, in all who welcome God into their hearts and minds. The Holy Spirit -- our advocate, our helper -- works within us, that we may glorify and serve God, and love our neighbors.

Galatians 5: 22-23 tells us that “the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.” This summer let’s all encourage--cultivate--this fruit within ourselves and our children.

Each week our newsletter will have Bible verses on which to meditate, ideas for crafts to enjoy, and suggestions for picture books the whole family can read together (and some longer “big kid” books, too). These are options, resources, ideas; they do not need to be done in whole or sequentially.

Your children can decorate this chart as they work through the summer.

This summer may we all grow in the fruit of the spirit.

Summer Blessings

Summer is here in all its glory! While it's natural for us to feel the loss of some summer traditions this year, may we not miss the joy around us. You are invited to email Bryn a photo of the simple summer blessings you have found, to share here with our community.
