All are invited to Epiphany’s beloved annual holiday tradition on Saturday, November 23 from 9:30 am-3:30 pm! Browse unique gifts by local artisans, silent auction baskets, white elephant and costume jewelry treasures, homemade baked goods, cozy knitted items, holiday crafts, and more. Our Kids’ Room provides a special haven for kids only, where they can buy family gifts and children’s books. Enjoy our lunch at our cafe, as well as a newly added 2pm organ concert. Handicapped accessible and free admission. Support this tradition spanning four decades!

Many (little) hands make light work: After the 10:00 service on November 24, kids of all ages are invited to help assemble tags for Epiphany's annual giving trees.  We will have a table in Hadley Hall where kids (and grown-ups who would like to help) can prepare the tags, then hang them on Epiphany's giving trees. This is a great opportunity to meaningfully contribute to a cherished parish tradition, and you won't even miss coffee hour!

On Sunday, November 24 at 7:00 pm in the Suter Room Library, all parents and caregivers of middle and high schoolers are invited to join our community group. We gather for about an hour, once a month, to talk, offer support, and get to know each other better. Raising teens isn't easy, but you're not alone! In the coming months, we'll think about not only how we care for our teens, but how we care for ourselves. There is no prep work, just bring yourself. On Sunday, December 1 at 11:30 am in Hadley Hall, celebrate the first Sunday in Advent with a special time of wreath making! We will provide greenery, candles, and a wreath frame if you do not already have one. All are welcome! A $15 suggested donation for materials can be made online; please select "Advent Wreath Making" from the fund dropdown menu. 

All are invited on Sunday, December 1 at 5:00 pm for Word & Table, a casual, participatory, and intimate worship experience in the Upper Parish Hall. Word & Table is offered on the first Sunday of each month from October through June. 

On Monday, December 2 from 6:30-8:30 pm, all Epiphany Young Adults (20s/30s) are invited to a bowling night at Sacco's Bowl Haven in Davis Square. We will candlepin bowl for the first hour and then eat pizza. RSVP to Rev. Janelle at jhiroshige@3crowns.org. 

On Saturday, December 7 from 9:00 am-12:00 pm, all are invited to our annual Advent Quiet Day Retreat at Epiphany. We are excited to welcome Brother Lucas Hall from the Society of St. John the Evangelist to lead us during this time of retreat. Please click to register for the retreat.

Our Christmas pageant will be on Christmas Eve during the 4:00 pm worship service. All children (including our tiny ones) are invited to be part of this service. We hold rehearsals from 11:30 am-12:15 pm on Sundays, December 8, 15, and 22, and on Christmas Eve at 2:45 pm. Please click here to sign your child up to participate in the pageant. We have speaking roles as well as "ensemble" roles (sheep, shepherds & angels of all ages!). We ask that those who would like a speaking role be able to attend at least two of the Sunday morning rehearsals. On Sunday, December 8 at 4:00 pm, join us at Woburn United Methodist Church (523 Main Street, Woburn) for a vigil of remembrance and hope to honor all victims and survivors of gun violence. The vigil will also be livestreamed via Facebook. 

Youth in grades 6-12 are invited to a Christmas party on Sunday, December 8 from 6:30-8:30 pm. We’ll have some fun, festive activities and play a game together. For questions, please contact Rev. Janelle.

Epiphany plans to go on a civil rights pilgrimage from March 19-25, 2025 to Atlanta, Montgomery, and Selma. We will visit historic civil rights sites such as Ebenezer Baptist Church, MLK sites in Atlanta, the EJI Legacy Museum in Montgomery, and the Edmund Pettus Bridge in Selma. We will also meet people involved in racial justice work along the way. This trip will be sponsored by Journey to Justice and led by the Rev. June Cooper. A preference will be made for those currently enrolled in a Sacred Ground group. We will have a Zoom session on December 9 at 6:30 pm with Rev. June to learn more. This fall, Journey to Justice invites you to join us in reading Rough Sleepers by Pulitzer Prize winning, New York Times bestselling author Tracy Kidder. On Sunday, December 15 at 11:30 am, Epiphany’s own Dr. Ginger Barrow will join us to discuss the book. All are invited for Parish of the Epiphany’s annual Candlelight Festival of Nine Lessons & Carols on Sunday, December 15 at 5:00 pm. A holiday favorite, this service of scripture and music sung by the Parish Choir and Choristers centers on the mystery of the Incarnation. A reception will follow in Hadley Hall.

You are invited to a festive, fun, and delicious Christmas party for all ages on Wednesday, December 18 from 6:15-7:30 pm in Hadley Hall. This special Midweek celebration will include a holiday dinner and games. Everyone is invited to bring a favorite Christmas treat for a dessert potluck! 

The weekend of December 20-22, join us for You Are Not Alone: Responding to Grief and Trauma by Building Relationships, a retreat co-presented by the Rev. Bob Davidson, Episcopal priest and social worker, and Dr. Anthony Valdini, professor of family medicine and community health. The retreat will be held at Barbara C. Harris Camp & Conference Center in Greenfield, NH and will include three presentations during the Saturday retreat day, a Friday evening optional get acquainted, and Sunday morning optional healing and community worship. Celebrate our Savior’s birth with Christmas worship at Parish of the Epiphany! On Tuesday, December 24, our Christmas Eve worship will include three services. The 4:00 pm service is our family Eucharist and Children’s Pageant, sung by the Choristers and Schola. At 7:00 pm, we will offer a Sung Eucharist, and at 10:00 pm, a Festal Eucharist, both featuring the Parish Choir and string quartet. (Please note that the 10:00 pm service includes incense and a choral mas setting.) On Monday, December 25 at 10:00 am, we invite you for a Sung Eucharist with the Schola.

On Sunday, January 5 at 10:00 am, we celebrate our namesake feast as we mark the arrival of the Three Wise Men at the manger. This service will be sung by the Parish Choir and Choristers, including music by George Malcolm, Felix Mendelssohn, and Herbert Howells.

On Sunday, January 12 at 5:00 pm, all are invited to a harpsichord recital by Peter Skyes in Parish of the Epiphany’s Upper Parish Hall. Peter Sykes has taught at the New England Conservatory, the Longy School of Music, and the University of Michigan, and currently teaches at Boston University and is a core faculty member and principal teacher of harpsichord in the Historical Performance department at the Juilliard School in New York City. He will offer music by Louis and François Couperin, Froberger, and J. S. Bach, playing his newest acquisition, a harpsichord by Ronald Haas (after Ruckers, 1624). Admission is free; donations are gladly accepted.
