All children (including our tiny ones) are invited to be part of this service. We hold rehearsals from 11:30 am-12:15 pm on Sundays, December 8, 15, and 22, and at 2:45 pm on Christmas Eve. Please click here to sign your child up to participate in the pageant. Contact Bryn Hollenbeck for more information or questions.

We will invite special guest Senator Jason Lewis to speak to us about current housing policies and how we can be involved. We will also explore the intersection of the current housing crisis with the need to find shelter for unhoused and migrant residents.     Edmund Pettus BridgeEpiphany plans to go on a civil rights pilgrimage from March 21-25, 2025 to Atlanta, Montgomery, and Selma. We will visit historic civil rights sites such as Ebenezer Baptist Church, MLK sites in Atlanta, the EJI Legacy Museum in Montgomery, and the Edmund Pettus Bridge in Selma. We will also meet people involved in racial justice work along the way. This trip will be sponsored by Journey to Justice and led by the Rev. June Cooper. A preference will be made for those currently enrolled in a Sacred Ground group. We will have a Zoom session on December 9 at 6:30 pm with Rev. June to learn more. Bob Davidson, Episcopal priest and social worker, and Dr. Anthony Valdini, professor of family medicine and community health. The retreat will be held at Barbara C. Harris Camp & Conference Center in Greenfield, NH and will include three presentations during the Saturday retreat day, a Friday evening optional get acquainted, and Sunday morning optional healing and community worship.     Parish of the Epiphany's nave full of people, lit candles, and greenery during Christmas Eve worshipCelebrate our Savior’s birth with Christmas worship at Parish of the Epiphany! On Tuesday, December 24, our Christmas Eve worship will include three services. The 4:00 pm service is our family Eucharist and Children’s Pageant, sung by the Choristers and Schola. At 7:00 pm, we will offer a Sung Eucharist, and at 10:00 pm, a Festal Eucharist, both featuring the Parish Choir and string quartet. (Please note that the 10:00 pm service includes incense and a choral mas setting.) On Monday, December 25 at 10:00 am, we invite you for a Sung Eucharist with the Schola.

    • The Dwelling Place Soup Kitchen (532 Main Street, Woburn)

    Parish of the Epiphany volunteers at The Dwelling Place Soup Kitchen in Woburn, MA in June 2024 On December 28, Epiphany will be serving at The Dwelling Place, a soup kitchen in Woburn open three nights a week serving hot meals to anyone who needs it. Volunteers are needed for a cook day in the Epiphany kitchen on Friday morning, December 27 from 9:00-11:30 am to prepare 40-45 meals. We will also need volunteers on site at The Dwelling Place on Saturday, December 28 from 4:00-6:20 pm to reheat food, put it in to-go containers, and distribute food to guests (children are welcome to serve with their families!). Since this serving opportunity will fall during the holidays when many are traveling, it would be great if you could sign up! Please contact Rev.     Pipe organ at The Christian Science Plaza in Boston, MAOn Tuesday, December 31, join organists Jeremy Bruns, Louise Mundinger, and Bryan Ashley for an organ concert at The Christian Science Plaza, also known as The Mother Church. This is the largest organ in Boston! Bryan Ashley will perform at 3:00 pm, Louise Mundinger at 3:30 pm, and Jeremy Bruns at 4:00 pm. This annual concert is co-sponsored by The First Church of Christ, Scientist and the Boston Chapter of the American Guild of Organists; the concert is free of charge.

This service will be sung by the Parish Choir and Choristers, including music by George Malcolm, Felix Mendelssohn, and Herbert Howells.

    Headshot of musician Peter SykesOn Sunday, January 12 at 5:00 pm, all are invited to a harpsichord recital by Peter Skyes in Parish of the Epiphany’s Upper Parish Hall. Peter Sykes has taught at the New England Conservatory, the Longy School of Music, and the University of Michigan, and currently teaches at Boston University and is a core faculty member and principal teacher of harpsichord in the Historical Performance department at the Juilliard School in New York City. He will offer music by Louis and François Couperin, Froberger, and J. S. Bach, playing his newest acquisition, a harpsichord by Ronald Haas (after Ruckers, 1624). Admission is free; donations are gladly accepted.
