“My heart, O God, is steadfast, my heart is steadfast; I will sing and make music.” Psalm 57:7
For nearly a century, music has been the crown jewel that feeds our hearts in worship at the Parish of the Epiphany; it speaks to us at the root of our souls. Our music program boasts a long-standing reputation of musical excellence that continues to serve God, our Parish, Winchester, and the greater Boston Community with a rich variety of offerings — all within the Anglican tradition. In fact, many people tell us they were initially drawn to the Parish of the Epiphany because of the quality of our music and worship!

The Parish Choir is comprised of highly committed volunteer singers, supported by a small number of professional staff singers, who offer the finest choral music in the Anglican tradition. Drawing from many periods in history and honoring current-day composers, we focus on music’s unique place in liturgy. We are a warm, friendly group, constantly striving for excellence, who are decidedly committed to serving Christ and our community with our musical offerings in regular rehearsal and worship.
The Parish Choir rehearses throughout the school year (September – May) on Thursday Evenings from 7:30 to 9:30 pm and sings at the 10:00am service as well as at choral evensong, funerals, and feast days. During the summer months of June, July and August we suspend Thursday rehearsals, but continue to sing in the form of a summer ‘pickup’ choir.
Singing Opportunities for Children and Youth:
Anyone in grades 3 through 12 is welcome to join us as a chorister. We rehearse on Thursdays from 5:30 to 6:30pm and sing with the adults one to two Sundays a month. Thursday rehearsals are followed by dinner at 6:30 where parents and siblings are encouraged to join us.
High school singers are invited to join us on Sundays at 11:45 during Lent for a short 30 minute rehearsal. We will be working on an anthem that we will sing for the Easter Vigil.
Elementary school singers are invited to join us in the chapel at 11:15 on Sundays during Lent for a time of singing.
