The Advent wreath is a Christian tradition that symbolizes the passage of the four weeks of Advent. Epiphany will provide a wreath form, candles, and greens for you to make your own wreath.
Advent is a season of preparation as we wait for the birth of Jesus at Christmas. Beginning with the First Sunday of Advent, the lighting of a candle can be accompanied by a reading from scripture or a prayer. Each Sunday, an additional candle is lit until, by the last Sunday before Christmas, all four candles are lit. Click here for more information on the meaning of an Advent Wreath.
