Journey to Justice (formerly Mission & Outreach) has been actively involved with the Malden Warming Center (MWC) since last March. The Center offers warm, safe, and dignifying overnight housing for those experiencing housing insecurity seven nights a week, from December 1 to March 31. This season, a dozen volunteers from Epiphany have been regularly taking shifts at MWC — welcoming guests, serving meals, and offering companionship.
Among other services, MWC offers warm clothing and footwear for the guests. This Lenten season, we at Epiphany are collecting *NEW* clothing items that are low in inventory at MWC, particularly underwear for men and women (all sizes needed), long underwear, and socks. Please bring donations to the back of the church, or order directly from our wish list here. Items should be shipped to: Malden Warming Center, First Church of the Nazarene, 529 Eastern Ave, Malden MA 02148.
